For the first time since 2002, the membership of TCCTA has exceeded 6,000. Many professional organizations have declined in membership over the last several years, particularly those that are not devoted to one specialized area of activity.
The 6,000 figure is important, as it gives the association enhanced credibility with policy makers. It is noteworthy also in these times of budget cuts and grim economic news. Morale is low on many campuses, but community and technical college educators still believe in professional solidarity. They believe in TCCTA.
