Researchers at The University of Texas at Austin are recruiting individuals who graduated from a Texas high school in 2004 but have not completed a four-year college degree. A variety of individual, social, and environmental influences on alcohol use and other risky behaviors will be examined for these individuals and a group of more traditional four-year college students from UT Austin.
The UT students also graduated high school in 2004 and are participating in a 5-year study about alcohol use and other risky behaviors during the transition from high school through college. This project is funded by the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism and is under the direction of Professor Kim Fromme (who will be presenting at this year’s annual TCCTA convention).
